![]() I think it is the kind of books that you can fly through as a reader and appreciate the writing at the same time. I felt the exact opposite, that the authors did a great job researching the characters and that they wanted to provide something great for the readers and the LGBT community and I think they did that. ![]() I really did not feel this while reading this book. There is always a kind of criticism toward white women writing LGBT books and characters and I think there is some truth to that criticism because some authors want to do that to sound diverse to get more money, not giving a damn about the representation or the readers who will get the book. Let s just take a moment to appreciate the simplistic yet very smart cover and title! I ended up enjoying it as much as I wanted and maybe even a bit more. I BR this book with a friend because I thought it had a good synopsis and cover. ![]() I decided that I would be reading more of their books soon and I incidentally did it. “This is how we reveal ourselves: these tiny flashes of discomfort, the reactions we can’t hide.”Įarlier this year, I read The Unhoneymooners by the same authors of this book and I really liked it. ![]()
